7 AliExpress Kitchen Things I’d Actually Put Near My Sink
A quick AliExpress kitchen gadget review, mostly cheap sink-area stuff that solves tiny daily annoyances.
I went through a bunch of AliExpress kitchen stuff and kept it to seven things that look useful right around the sink. No powered gadgets, no miracle-spec nonsense, no “why is this even in a kitchen” gamble. Just cheap little things where a miss would not hurt that much.
The scores are my rough feel. Price, how often I would touch it, how much finish quality matters, and whether I would buy it again all got mixed together.
5: would buy again when it runs out
4: solid for the money
3: fine if you actually need it
2: not really a recommendation
1: no thanks, once was enough
1. Sink Mesh Drain Bags

- Link: Disposable sink mesh filter bags, 30/500 pcs
- Quick verdict: the first thing I’d check if cleaning the drain annoys you
- Score: 4.5/5
- Buy again: yes
This is not a genius invention. That is kind of the point. It is just the kind of thing you keep reaching for because it removes one gross little step from the day.
The catch is obvious: it is disposable, so you keep buying more. Still, for the price, reducing the food-scrap mess around the drain makes sense to me.
2. Wooden Paper Towel Holder

- Link: Wooden paper towel holder
- Quick verdict: cheap way to make the counter look a little calmer
- Score: 3.5/5
- Buy again: maybe
This is more of a mood item than a performance item. It holds a roll of paper towels. That’s the job. If your kitchen already has a wood-ish tone, it can look better than leaving the roll loose on the counter.
Just keep expectations low. Wood finish on a cheap AliExpress item can be uneven. If you expect heavy, polished kitchen-store quality, you are setting yourself up to be annoyed.
3. Hanging Cabinet Trash Bin

- Link: Hanging kitchen trash bin
- Quick verdict: nice when you want scraps gone without bending down
- Score: 4/5
- Buy again: yes
Onion skins, green onion ends, tiny wrappers. Cooking keeps producing little bits of trash, and having a bin hanging right by the counter shortens the whole motion.
The risk is fit. Cabinet door thickness, handle shape, and the exact spot you want to hang it all matter. Check the kitchen first, then buy.
4. Food Bag Sealing Clips

- Link: Food bag sealing clips
- Quick verdict: easy win for snacks, pasta, frozen food bags
- Score: 4/5
- Buy again: yes
You can somehow own ten of these and still need more. The long clip style is better for wide bag openings than the tiny pinch clips, especially flour, pasta, cereal, and frozen stuff.
It is plastic, so don’t twist it like you are testing gym equipment. But as a cheap multi-pack you can use without being precious, this is exactly the right level.
5. Faucet Hanging Sponge Basket

- Link: Sink hanging sponge basket
- Quick verdict: keeps sponges from sitting in sad sink water
- Score: 4/5
- Buy again: yes
Leaving a sponge on the sink floor makes the whole area feel dirty faster. This basket lifts it up and lets water drain out, which is basically all I want here.
The faucet shape matters a lot. Round faucets, weird angles, or cramped sink layouts can make it feel loose. This is a “look at your sink first” item.
6. Foldable Sink Strainer Rack

- Link: Foldable sink filter rack
- Quick verdict: useful if you prep vegetables often
- Score: 3.5/5
- Buy again: maybe
This sits across the sink and catches scraps or rinsed vegetable bits while you work. If you cook in a “wash, chop, toss, rinse again” rhythm, I can see this being handy.
But it depends hard on sink size. In a small sink, or with a faucet in the wrong spot, it can become one more thing in the way. Buy this only if your setup has room for it.
7. Stainless Sink Strainer Stopper

- Link: Stainless steel sink strainer stopper
- Quick verdict: worth checking if your current drain basket is annoying
- Score: 3/5
- Buy again: only if needed
If your current sink strainer is loose, ugly, or always catching food in the worst way, a stainless replacement can make the drain area look cleaner.
Size is everything here. If the diameter is off, it becomes instant drawer junk. Measure your drain before doing anything cute.
Rough Conclusion
If I were buying again, I’d start with the mesh drain bags, hanging trash bin, sealing clips, and sponge basket. The wooden holder is a taste thing. The foldable rack depends on your sink. The stainless stopper only makes sense if the size matches.
AliExpress kitchen stuff works best when you stop hunting for life-changing inventions and start looking for one annoying motion to delete. Cheap is nice. Fitting your actual kitchen is nicer.
